Mobile Shredder - Heavy Duty Tracked Shredding Equipment

5 Models Available

Tracked Mobile Shredders for Waste, Scrap Metal & Biomass Recycling

UPSEN (Henan Fangda Industrial) has built tracked mobile crushing, screening and shredding equipment since 2010. The five mobile shredders on this page run from about 15 t/h up to 200 t/h (by material) and use low-speed, high-torque twin-shaft cutting to reduce difficult feed into recyclable fractions: C&D waste, wood and biomass, scrap metal and end-of-life vehicles, municipal solid waste and tyres.

Every unit is self-propelled on tracks, operated by a single wireless remote control, and available with magnetic separation to pull ferrous metal from the output. Choose diesel power (Cummins) for remote sites or the electric-drive UFS750 for indoor and emission-sensitive work. Combined with our crushers, screeners and conveyors, they form complete recycling lines delivered to 80+ countries with CE certification and OEM parts support.

Quick Selection Guide by Throughput

  • UMS250Self-propelled tracked twin-shaft shredder — C&D 80-130 t/h, wood 15-20 t/h, MSW 15-25 t/h
  • UTS250Towable trailer version — same twin-shaft shredder and throughput as the UMS250, towed between sites
  • UMS750High-volume tracked unit — C&D 80-150 t/h, wood 40-60 t/h, scrap metal 15-25 t/h
  • UMS950Largest tracked shredder — C&D 180-200 t/h, built for scrap cars and metal feed
  • UFS750Electric-drive unit for indoor / low-emission sites — 20-150 t/h, 110 kW

Mobile Shredder vs Mobile Crusher — Which Machine for Your Material

Shredders and crushers are different tools for different feed. Shredding cuts tough, mixed and metal-bearing material; crushing breaks hard rock and concrete into aggregate. UPSEN builds both, so the choice is about your material, not about what we sell.

Mobile Shredders (UMS / UTS / UFS)

Low-speed, high-torque twin-shaft cutting that tears and shears feed rather than impacting it — ideal for material a crusher cannot take.

  • Best for tough, elastic and mixed feed: wood with nails, C&D rubble, tyres, MSW
  • The front end of scrap metal and ELV recycling — the UMS950 is our scrap-car shredder
  • Output size controlled by screen and cutter configuration
  • Magnetic separation removes ferrous metal from the output stream

Mobile Crushers (UJC / UIC)

Compression (jaw) or high-speed impact breaking of rock and concrete into reusable aggregate fractions.

  • For natural rock, hard stone and concrete where aggregate product is the goal
  • Jaw crushers handle rebar-laced demolition concrete; impact crushers produce cubical aggregate
  • Output is dimensioned by the discharge setting, ready for screening

A simple decision framework

1

Metal, tyres, wood or mixed refuse?
You need volume reduction before sorting → shredder.

2

Hard rock or concrete aggregate?
Natural stone, slabs, rebar concrete → crusher.

3

Building a full line?
Shred or crush → screen into fractions → convey to stockpile — all UPSEN tracked units.

4

Indoor or low-emission site?
Choose the electric-drive UFS750 instead of a diesel unit.

Mobile Shredder FAQ

Answers to the questions recyclers ask most before buying a tracked mobile shredder.

How much does a UPSEN mobile shredder cost?

Price depends on the model, engine (diesel or electric) and the screen configuration you need. Contact Carlsen Wang (WhatsApp +86 15333827088 or 15333827088@163.com) with your feed material and target output, and we will send a tailored quotation for the right model.

What materials can UPSEN shredders process?

The UMS / UTS / UFS range is built for C&D waste, wood and biomass, scrap metal and end-of-life vehicles, municipal solid waste and tyres. Tell us your feed and we will confirm the correct cutter and screen configuration for it.

Can a mobile shredder handle scrap metal and cars?

Yes — the UMS950 is our tracked scrap-car shredder, and the larger UMS750 handles high-volume metal feed. A magnetic separator removes the liberated ferrous fraction, which is the first step of any metal recycling line. Very heavy structural steel sections should be pre-cut before feeding.

Shredder or crusher — how do I decide?

If your goal is aggregate from hard rock or concrete, choose a crusher. If your feed is tough, mixed or metal-bearing waste that needs volume reduction before sorting, choose a shredder. Many recycling yards run both in one line — see the comparison above and our crusher range.

Diesel or electric drive — which should I choose?

Diesel units (Cummins-powered) are fully self-contained for remote and mobile sites. The UFS750 runs on a 110 kW electric drive — lower running cost and emissions, ideal for indoor, urban or emission-sensitive operations with a power supply on site.

How is the output size controlled?

Output size is set by the screen and cutter configuration of the shredder. Tell us the fraction you need and our engineers will specify the right setup — and confirm the realistic throughput for your material before you order.
