UJC106 vs UJC116: Which Tracked Jaw Crusher?

Same hopper, same 300 kW generator, same tracks — the decision comes down to the crushing chamber and the transport weight.

UPSEN builds two tracked jaw crushers in the large-capacity bracket: the UJC106 and the UJC116. They share the same 7 m³ hopper, the same 300 kW on-board diesel generator and the same steel track undercarriage, which is why buyers often ask which one to specify. The real difference is in the crushing chamber, the feed opening and the transport envelope.

1. The feed opening is the real difference

Both machines accept a comparable top size — 630 mm for the UJC106 and 650 mm for the UJC116 — but they reach it with different chamber geometry. The UJC106 uses a 700×1060 mm opening on the JC106 chamber: narrower across the jaws and deeper, which suits slabby demolition material and long lumps that can bridge a shallow inlet.

The UJC116 opens to 1150×800 mm on the JC116 chamber. That extra 450 mm of width is what buys the throughput: a wider jaw can be fed harder and more evenly by a large excavator, which is why its rated capacity reaches 500 t/h against the 300 t/h ceiling of the UJC106.

If your widest lump is a long concrete slab, the deeper UJC106 chamber is usually the more forgiving choice. If your feed is quarry run or demolition rubble arriving as a steady, wide stream, the UJC116 will take it faster.

2. Capacity and the power behind it

The UJC116 carries a 132 kW crusher motor against 110 kW on the UJC106, and a wider B1200 main conveyor against the B1000 on the UJC106. Both run the same 300 kW generator, so the electrical package is common to the two machines and spares are largely shared.

Rated capacity is always quoted at a stated closed-side setting and in a favourable material. As a working guide, the UJC106 at 150–300 t/h covers most quarry and recycling jobs where the target is 150–250 t/h, while the UJC116 at 160–500 t/h is the machine to specify when you need to hold above 300 t/h through the shift, or when your loading fleet can keep a wider inlet busy.

Note that the UJC116 discharge range starts higher, at 70 mm rather than 50 mm. If your product needs a 50 mm top size, the UJC106 can close further; the UJC116 is aimed at producing a coarser primary product for a secondary stage.

3. Transport weight and site mobility

The UJC106 weighs 43,268 kg and measures 14.5×3.0×3.8 m in working position. The UJC116 weighs 52,500 kg and measures 16×3.2×4.0 m — some 9,232 kg heavier and 1.5 m longer. That gap often matters more than any other figure here, because it is the number your transport contractor prices against and the number your permit application quotes.

On a site where the machine stays for months, the extra weight is irrelevant. On a contract where you move every few weeks between city-centre demolition jobs, the lighter UJC106 usually returns to work sooner and costs less per move. Check the axle-load, width and height limits that apply on your own routes before deciding — those rules vary by country and road class, and they are frequently the reason to choose one machine over the other.

4. Which one should you specify

  • UJC106 if your target is 150–250 t/h, you need a 50 mm top size, you move between sites regularly, or your feed arrives as slabby demolition concrete.
  • UJC116 if you need to run above 300 t/h, you have a large excavator or wheel loader feeding continuously, or the primary product goes to a secondary crusher and a coarser setting is acceptable.
  • Either if your job is quarry run at 200–300 t/h — then the deciding factor is transport logistics, not crushing capacity.

Both machines are normally paired with a UPSEN tracked screener such as the UZS1545 scalping screener and one or more UTD65S stacker conveyors, so the line produces graded, sellable product rather than a single coarse pile.

Frequently asked questions

Which machine has the larger feed opening?

The UJC116, at 1150×800 mm, against 700×1060 mm on the UJC106.

Which is lighter to transport?

The UJC106, at 43,268 kg. The UJC116 is 52,500 kg.

Do they use the same generator?

Yes. Both use a 300 kW diesel generator, although the crusher motors differ — 110 kW on the UJC106 and 132 kW on the UJC116.

What is the maximum feed size?

630 mm for the UJC106 and 650 mm for the UJC116.
