Mobile Crusher for Mining and Ore Processing
A tracked crusher follows the pit instead of the pit following the plant. UPSEN mobile jaw and impact units cover 10 to 500 t/h with feed openings up to 650 mm — used for ROM pad primary crushing, overburden and waste-rock handling, grade control samples and mine-site contract crushing.
Get A QuoteThe pit moves, so should the primary
As the working face advances, haul distances to a fixed primary grow and so does cost per tonne. A tracked unit is re-positioned with the shovel and keeps the truck cycle short.
Pre-concentration before the haul
Crushing and screening at the pit edge lets barren or low-grade material be rejected before it is trucked to the plant. That reduces the tonnage that has to be hauled, milled or stockpiled.
Contract and campaign crushing
A self-propelled, self-powered unit can be mobilised for a campaign and de-mobilised when the campaign ends. Nothing is left on site, and no permanent works consent is needed.
Recommended UPSEN Machines for Mining Work
Tracked primary jaw crushers for hard, abrasive ore, an impact unit for softer material, and scalping screeners to take out fines ahead of the primary. Capacities below are the published ranges for each model.

ROM Pad to Stockpile
ROM pad receipt
Ore is tipped or pushed into the feed hopper. Feed size and moisture at this point decide whether a grizzly or a pre-screen is needed.
Pre-screening
A scalping screener removes fines and any material already at target size. On sticky or clay-bound ore a trommel such as the UTS2255 handles it better than a vibrating deck.
Primary crushing
The tracked jaw reduces the ore to a size the downstream plant, or the next crushing stage, can accept. Jaw settings drive both throughput and product size.
Secondary stage if required
Hard or abrasive ore normally needs a second reduction stage. Softer minerals can be shaped in one pass through a tracked impact crusher.
Stockpile or direct feed
Crushed material is stockpiled by stacker conveyor, or loaded straight out for transport to the processing plant.
Mobile Crusher for Mining and Ore Processing - FAQ
Questions from mine operators and contract crushers
What throughput can a mobile crusher achieve on ore?+
UPSEN tracked jaw crushers cover 6-8 t/h (UJC425) up to 160-500 t/h (UJC116). Real throughput on ore depends on bulk density, moisture, feed grading and the closed-side setting, so the published range should be read as a starting point rather than a guarantee.
Can these units handle abrasive, hard rock?+
They are built for it. Crushers in the range use wear-resistant jaw plates (Mn13Cr2 on the units where it is specified) and are used on hard rock and ore. Wear-part consumption scales with silica content and feed size, so plate life is a site-specific number.
What is the advantage over a fixed primary for a mine?+
Mobility. A tracked primary can be kept close to the advancing face, which cuts truck cycle time, and it can be moved to a contract or satellite deposit without building a second station.
Is a mobile unit suitable for contract crushing campaigns?+
Yes. Because the units are self-propelled and diesel-powered, they can be mobilised for a campaign and removed at the end of it, leaving no fixed installation behind.
How is sticky or clay-bound ore handled?+
With a trommel screen rather than a vibrating deck. The UTS2255 handles 100-300 m3/h of sticky feed; screening fines out before the crusher prevents the chamber from packing.
Can I get a capacity estimate for my specific ore?+
Send the ore type, bulk density, top size and target product size. We will match it to the closest model in the range and confirm the configuration before any quotation is issued.
