Mobile Crusher for Quarry and Aggregate Production
Crush at the rock face instead of hauling run-of-quarry to a fixed plant. UPSEN tracked jaw crushers span 10 to 500 t/h with feed openings from 250 mm to 650 mm, and can be paired with tracked scalping screeners and stacker conveyors to produce graded aggregate where the excavator is working.
Get A QuoteHaulage is usually the biggest line item
Every tonne you crush at the face is a tonne you do not truck twice. Moving the plant to the rock, rather than the rock to the plant, removes the load-and-haul leg between face and primary station.
Change product without a shutdown
Two or three mobile units can be re-deployed to a different bench, or a different site, in a single working day. That flexibility is what fixed plants cannot offer when the quarry plan changes.
No permanent-works consents
A tracked unit is mobile plant, not a fixed installation. It arrives on a low-bed trailer, walks off and starts working, which keeps the permitting conversation about the site rather than the structure.

A Typical Quarry Train
Face and loading
Excavator or wheel loader feeds the hopper directly, or trucks tip into a feed hopper when the bench is above the crusher level.
Primary jaw crushing
The tracked jaw reduces run-of-quarry to a size the next stage can handle. Closed-side setting is the main lever on both output size and throughput.
Scalping
A tracked scalping screener pulls out fines and any material already at product size before it reaches the next crusher, which is where most of the extra capacity comes from.
Secondary / shaping
Hard abrasive rock is normally shaped by a secondary unit; softer rock such as limestone can go straight through a tracked impact crusher.
Sizing and stockpiling
Final screens cut the graded fractions the market wants; stacker conveyors build the stockpiles without a wheel loader working the pile.
Mobile Crusher for Quarry and Aggregate Production - FAQ
Questions quarry operators ask before choosing a mobile train
What capacity range do UPSEN mobile crushers cover for quarry work?+
The tracked jaw range runs from the UJC503 at 10-30 t/h up to the UJC116 at 160-500 t/h, with feed openings from 250 mm to 650 mm. Choosing the model is mostly a question of the largest lump the excavator will feed and the tonnage the market needs.
Can a mobile jaw crusher replace a fixed primary station?+
For many quarries, yes. A tracked primary plus a tracked scalper will cover the primary and scalping stages, and can be moved to the next bench or the next site without dismantling. Where the quarry has a long life and a stable product mix, a fixed station often still wins on running cost per tonne.
How do I remove fines before the crusher?+
Use a tracked scalping screener such as the UZS1230 (80-200 t/h) or the UYK1860 (300-400 t/h) ahead of the jaw. Taking out material that is already at product size stops it from being crushed twice and frees capacity in the primary.
Do the machines need mains power at the quarry?+
No. UPSEN tracked crushers and screeners are diesel-powered and self-propelled on steel tracks. They arrive on a low-bed trailer and start working without a power hookup or a crane.
What about dust and noise in a quarry?+
Mobile crushing at the face generally moves the noise source away from fixed plant and neighbours. Water spray on the discharge and transfer points is the usual dust control measure; the plant is supplied with the standard spray-bar provisions.
How quickly can a unit be moved between benches or sites?+
A tracked unit travels on a standard low-bed trailer. Moving between benches is typically a matter of hours; moving between sites depends on haul distance and permits rather than on the machine itself.
